The Borinqueneers Park Education Alliance is operated exclusively for educational purposes in fostering Puerto Rican Cultural Heritage, Education and Fraternity through the construction of a veteran’s memorial for the Puerto Rican 65th Infantry Regiment in Borinqueneers Park (aka Second Street Park) at Second Street, Perth Amboy, NJ. In addition, the alliance seeks to:

  • Honor and educate the public of the regiment’s heroic deeds during the Korean Conflict for which they were awarded a Congressional Gold Medal, and other Puerto Rican cultural and educational programs.
  • Assist in conceptualizing and planning state of the art skate park.
  • Brand Perth Amboy as a welcoming community to live. 

The Corporation is established within the meaning of IRS Publication 557 Section 501(c)(3) Organization of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the "Code") or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.  We are a registered charity in compliance with the NJ Office of the Attorney General, Division of Consumer Affairs.  Pursuant to the Charitable Registration and Investigation Act, N.J.S.A. 45: 17A-18 et seq. (the CR Act), and its accompanying regulations, N.J.A.C. 13:48-1.1 et seq.
